To Whom does the Governing Body Belong? To the God of truth or the God of the lie?

That is a very important question that all Jehovah’s Witnesses need to ask themselves.

The immediate response of most Witnesses may be, to the god of truth of course! But is that the truth!

The best way to establish truth is to look at the facts, therefore that is what this article will review.

Kingdom Song number 40 is entitled “To Whom do We Belong to?”. It is based on Romans 14:8 and the song has the following words. For many long time Witnesses they may well be able to sing the words without the songbook as they will be very familiar with it.

Verse 1 reads:

“To whom do you belong? Which god do you now obey? Your master’s the one to whom you bow. He is your god; you serve him now.

You cannot serve two gods; Devotion cannot be shared. And so in the end your choice will depend On how your heart is prepared.”

In John 8:44 Jesus made it very clear what kind of god the Devil is. In part the verse records Jesus saying, “he (the Devil) did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks according to his own disposition, because he is a liar and the father of the lie.”

Jesus, therefore, clearly identified Satan the Devil as the god of the lie and a liar.

By contrast, in Hebrews 13:18, the apostle Paul wrote that Christians should be able to say, “we trust we have an honest conscience, as we wish to conduct ourselves honestly in all things.”.

Additionally, in Psalm 31:5 the psalmist talked about “Jehovah the God of truth.”

God’s Word the Bible therefore gives us a clear cut conclusion.

1.Those who lie are following the god of the lie, Satan the Devil.

2.Those who do their best to be honest in all things (note: no exclusions or caveats) are following the god of truth, Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ.

As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, please ask yourself who you understand to be the legal corporation used by the Governing Body and is there not just one Organization?

Most would answer, is it not the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania? Indeed, are you even aware that the Organization uses any other legal corporations? Here is a non- exhaustive list:

Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, The Watchtower Society, Watch Tower Society, Jehovah Witnesses, Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses, The Watchtower, Watch Tower Bible, The European Association of Jehovah’s Christian Witnesses, Watchtower Society, JWCW, WBT Society Inc., Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, J.W. Org, International Bible Students Association, The Religious Order of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Kingdom Support Services, Incorporated Mountain Book Limited Partnership, Watchtower Associates Limited, Bible Education Works, Watchtower Brooklyn, Real Estate, and Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Britain. That is just a selection.

In light of the video and the affidavit which god would you say that Philip Brumley follows?

Does he follow the god of truth or the god of the lie and obfuscation?

Honest hearted people would have to answer, the god of the lie and obfuscation.

Even if the literal details contained in the affidavit are now currently true, these details were not true at the time of the problems the court trial in Montana was all about. Furthermore, Philip Brumley would have known that. Hence his affidavit was at the very least designed to be misleading. The court in its ruling and fine clearly took a very dim view of his attempt to deflect the issue from the failings of the Organization.

Also, just take a few moments to think to yourself, what kind of Organization might do the following?

Create and use one corporation to hold copyrights to media (books, magazines, songs, videos),

Use a second corporation to publish the media owned by the first corporation.

Own a third corporation to author the content, which then gives the copyright to the first corporation, and the publishing rights to the second corporation?

Use a fourth corporation to establish or disseminate policy or procedure to congregations.

Have yet another means to appoint or remove elders and ministerial servants (This is now solely the responsibility of Circuit Overseers, individuals without income.).

Use personnel of a copyright holding corporation to provide international humanitarian aid to JW communities after natural disasters. What skills to provide humanitarian aid do the workers of a copyright holding corporation have?

Ensuring that none of these corporations is legally a direct or indirect parent or subsidiary corporation of any of the other corporations, yet somehow they all co-operate together without any controlling organization or corporation?

We hear all the time in the news and on tv about criminal organizations like various mafia organizations being setup and operating in similar ways to that sworn by Philp Brumley and itemized above. We know that the sole intention behind these structures is being to avoid having their operations being shut down by the police or authorities. These structures are also aimed at trying to make it difficult for the police to pin their illegal activities on any one particular legal organization or person. Should any honest Organization act in such a way? Would Jesus Christ authorize such an intricate web of deceit and obfuscation? Surely not.

So then ask yourselves this difficult question, Why does the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses which views the Governing Body as God’s channel of communication on earth choose to operate in such a way?

The conclusion can only be that, unknown to the vast majority of its publishers and followers, the organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses follows the god of the lie, rather than the god of truth, despite any protestations or claims to the opposite.
